This house is located on the edge of the village of Trensacq, in the heart of the Parc Régional des Landes de Gascogne, south of Bordeaux. Canoes can be rented to paddle down the charming Eyre River as well as bicycles to enjoy the bike paths in the park. The beaches of the Atlantic coast are an easy day trip, just under an hour away. The house has been totally renovated while maintaining its half-timbered construction. On the ground floor is an open-plan living-dining room with open wood beamwork, comfortable seating and a coffee table grouped in front of an open fireplace. A large window looks out on the garden through the original vertical beamwork. At the other end of the room is the dining table opposite a door to the fully-equipped kitchen. Also on this level are a bedroom with its own small bathroom and a separate WC. Stairs from the living room lead to 3 more bedrooms, each with its own small shower and sink. There is also a separate WC on the landing. Outside, the house is surrounded by open grassy space and there is a terrace for outdoor meals and a pleasant swimming pool. A relaxing setting from which to explore southwest France.
