This modern cottage is located just a short walk from Bédoin, a lively village in the Ventoux region with cafés, restaurants, bakeries, a weekly open-air market and all services you’ll need to enjoy Provençal village life.
It is set in a cypress-hedged garden with gravel courtyard, olive trees and beds with lavender, roses, dahlias, oleander and other flowering plants. Along the front of the house is a tiled terrace with awning, a lovely spot for outdoor meals. Behind the house is a swimming pool and outdoor dining and lounging furniture. Inside, the house is airy and bright with light walls and large windows. It is pleasantly decorated with casual contemporary furnishings. Entry is into the open-plan living- dining room. At the far end is the sitting area with small loveseat and rattan chairs grouped around a round wood table. Adjacent is the dining area with rectangular wood table and wrought iron chairs. An antique chest and wine-colored curtains accent this comfortable room with French doors opening to the terrace. Off the dining area is the well-equipped kitchen with beige wood-trimmed cabinets, tile-topped breakfast table and French doors to the terrace. A corridor from the living area leads to 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The bedrooms are simply decorated and include bedside tables and lamps, colorful bedcovers and curtains. The bathroom with tub sports pretty yellow and blue ceramic tile, and there are separate toilet facilities. A sweet cottage near a lively village and an excellent value. |
| "The Bédoin home greatly exceeded my expectations (which were already high). The home is just outside the village proper, very quiet, yet within 5 minutes walk of the town center. The area is ideally suited to bicyclists (don't miss Mt. Ventoux). The pictures of the house on the website don’t do it justice." |
