Located on the edge of the village of Bédoin, this modern house is built in the local style with pale stucco facade, wood shutters and red tile roof. It sits in a large enclosed garden with swimming pool and many trees, including olive, cherry and cypress, as well as a variety of shrubs and flowering plants. Adjacent to the house is a terrace with sunny and shady areas for relaxing and outdoor dining. By the pool is another covered terrace with teak dining table.
Inside, the house is very attractively furnished with a combination of contemporary and antique pieces. To the right of the entry is an inviting living-dining room with tan tile floors and traditional Provençal blue and yellow decor. In the sitting area are two loveseats and chairs along with a dining area with a wood-topped wrought iron table and chairs for 8 people. Two antique chests complement this appealing room. French doors open to the terrace. Off the dining area is the kitchen with wood and tile counters, all conveniences and a window overlooking the garden. Also on this level is a bathroom. Upstairs are 5 bedrooms all of which are nicely decorated with pretty curtains and bedspreads and another bathroom. A delightful home within a short walk of a lively village in the Ventoux. |
