This modern cottage, with sand-colored facade and pale green shutters, is located just a short walk from Bédoin, a lively village in the Ventoux region with cafés, restaurants, shops, services and a weekly open-air market. From the terrace and pool in the front of the cottage, there are pretty views on the village. Surrounding the pool is a natural garden with a variety of native trees and plants including oak and olive trees, lavender and oleander. There is also a small shady terrace by the entry.
Inside, the single-story cottage features beamed ceilings, terra cotta tile floors and cream walls. Entry is into the open-plan living-dining room and adjacent kitchen. This is an appealing room that is open and airy. The sitting area has rattan sofas and easy chairs with colorful cushions grouped near the decorative fireplace. In the dining area is a long antique wood table with benches and an antique buffet and chest. French doors in the front and along the side open to the terrace and pool. Separated from the dining area by a wood counter is the well-equipped galley kitchen with yellow walls and olive-colored cabinets. There are 3 bedrooms, a full bathroom and additional toilet facilities, all accessed off a short corridor to the left of the entry. The bedrooms are simply and comfortably decorated and accented with antique chests, armoires or tables. The tiled bathroom has yellow walls. A sweet cottage in an animated Provençal village. And a client favorite! |
