The Ile St-Louis is truly the heart of Paris, surrounded by the Seine in the center of the city. Notre-Dame and the river’s scenic quays -- are steps away. A village in itself, the island has its own cafés, restaurants, shops and boutiques. A stroll over one of many bridges will take you to the bistros and shops of the Latin Quarter and St-Germain-des-Prés on the Left bank. Cross a bridge on the other side of the island and you’ll be in the historic Marais. A more historic and central location for enjoying the delights of Paris cannot be found.
This studio apartment is on the 6th and top floor (see note below) of a 19th-century building with elevator access. The apartment has views over the city’s rooftops. Recently renovated and decorated, it is compact, light and bright with large windows, white walls and casual contemporary furnishings. The main room has an equipped kitchenette with small refrigerator, cook top with two burners and a microwave. Opposite is a frosted glass-topped dining table and chairs for 2 people. Behind the dining table is a door to the full bathroom with shower. Adjacent to the kitchenette-dining area and separated by a partition is the sleeping alcove with double bed, a small desk and ample closet space. A perfect pied-à-terre in Paris’s charming island village. |
