The Latin Quarter is one of the most celebrated areas in Paris. St-Germain des Prés and its shops, restaurants and cafés frequented in the 1950s and 60s by the city’s intellectual elite are just steps away. Also within easy walking distance are the Luxembourg Gardens, the lively markets of the rue de Seine and rue de Buci, the banks of the Seine, Notre Dame and other renowned Left-Bank sights. In essence, Paris is at your feet.
This one-bedroom apartment is located in a late 19th-century building on the first floor with stair access (see note below). It is spacious by Paris standards with over 800 square feet of living space. Beautifully renovated, it features hardwood floors, light walls and a combination of contemporary and antique decor. Off the entry hall to the right is the living room with decorative marble fireplace. This well-furnished room includes a large upholstered sofa with colorful accent pillows and two armchairs grouped around a wood coffee table in front of the fireplace. Opposite the entry and adjacent to the living room is the dining room with round antique wood table and chairs for 4 people. A pretty antique wood chest and large mirror accent this handsome room. Both living and dining rooms overlook the quiet, narrow street. A corridor left of the entry leads to the kitchen, fully-equipped with all appliances and with ample counter and cabinet space. Also left of the entry is the bedroom overlooking a quiet courtyard. It features a queen bed with brightly-colored bedcover, bedside tables and plenty of closets. The full bathroom is ensuite and includes tiled American-style tub with shower, sink and toilet facilities. A gracious home in one of the city’s most historic and popular neighborhoods. Note: this is a non-smoking apartment. |
