The Latin Quarter is one of the most celebrated areas in Paris. St-Germain des Prés and its shops, restaurants and cafés frequented in the 1950s and 60s by the city's intellectual elite are just steps away. Also within easy walking distance are the Luxembourg Gardens. the lively markets of the rue de Seine and rue de Buci, the banks of the Seine, Notre Dame and other renowned Left-Bank sights. In essence, Paris is at your feet.

This one-bedroom apartment is located in an early 19th-century building on the third floor with elevator access. It is quiet by Paris standards, overlooking an interior courtyard. The apartment is equipped with all comforts and features stylish contemporary furnishings and artwork.

Entrance is into the living-dining room. The sitting area features a black leather sofa and armchair designed by Philip Stark grouped around a glass coffee table and colorful area rug. Adjacent are a round dining table and chairs, also Philip Stark designed. To the left of the living area, a wood screen separates the living room from the galley kitchen with a two-burner cooktop and microwave oven. There is also a small office area with desk.

A floor-to-ceiling mirrored closet unit serves as a room divider, from which a door leads to the bedroom with queen bed. It is nicely decorated with cream-colored walls and pretty bedcover and has ample wardrobe space. Completing the apartment is a marble-tiled bathroom with separate toilet facilities accessed from both the bedroom and the kitchen.

An appealing apartment in a wonderful Left-Bank neighborhood.

Note: this is a non-smoking apartment.
