Our apartment is located on a narrow street just steps from the Palais Royal gardens. It is set in an early 19th-century stone building on the third floor with elevator access (see note below). Light, bright and airy, it overlooks an interior courtyard and is very quiet by Paris standards. The apartment has been totally renovated using quality materials and decorated with comfortable contemporary furnishings and antique accents. Modern amenities include cable television and high speed internet access.

Entry is into the open-plan main room, which includes sitting and dining areas as well as a kitchen. In the sitting corner are an attractive gray upholstered sofa and armchairs. Adjacent is the dining area with pretty wood table seating 5 people and a painted wood china chest. A high butcher-block bar separates the U-shaped kitchen from the living-dining areas. The kitchen is spacious and particularly well equipped with high-quality stainless steel appliances, additional butcher block counters and a full complement of cookware, dishes and cutlery.

Completing the apartment are two bedrooms and a bathroom accessed off the main room. The master bedroom has a queen bed and is decorated with pretty quilted bedcover, bedside tables, lamps and ample wardrobe space. Adjacent is the second bedroom which is smaller and more simply furnished. It has two regular twin-size bunks, comfortable for adults as well as children. The white-tiled bathroom includes a tub with shower, sink and toilet facilities.
