Paris is full of tiny passages, narrow pedestrian walkways connecting larger streets. Our apartment is on such a passage between the rue Richelieu and the rue Montpensier, adjacent to the lovely gardens of the Palais Royal. This is an exclusive area of the first arrondissement, within easy walking distance of the Louvre, Tuilerie gardens, celebrated monuments, fine shopping, cafés and restaurants.
This light and airy apartment is located in an early 19th-century stone building overlooking an interior courtyard. It is on the third floor with elevator access. It has been totally renovated using quality materials and decorated with stylish furnishings. The main room is open plan and includes sitting and dining areas as well as a kitchen. In the sitting area are an attractive sofa and armchairs. Adjacent is the dining area with a pretty wood table seating 5 people. A high butcher-block bar separates the U-shaped kitchen from the living-dining areas. The kitchen is particularly well equipped and has high-quality stainless steel appliances and additional butcher block counters. Completing the apartment are two bedrooms and a bathroom. The master bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has two regular twin-size bunks, comfortable for adults as well as children. Both bedrooms are decorated with pretty bedcovers and curtains. The bathroom is accessed from the main living area and includes a tub with shower, sink and toilet. An apartment with great character in a distinctive location. |
