St-Germain-des-Prés is among Paris’ most historic and stylish neighborhoods. The celebrated church for which the area is named is just a block away. And the renowned cafés, restaurants, open-air markets and boutiques are all easy walks. The rue du Dragon is a narrow street with stylish shops. It’s lively during the day and quiet in the evening.
Located in a classic building, this one-bedroom apartment is on the third floor (see note below) accessed by stairs. It has been completely renovated and features old wood beamed ceilings and polished hardwood floors accented by sleek contemporary furnishings and all conveniences. The entry opens to the main room with cream-colored walls and large windows overlooking the street. Here a black leather sofa and easy chair are set off by a colorful area rug. Behind is a small dining suite with table and chairs. Highlighting this attractive room are striking posters and works of art. Adjacent to the sitting area is a bedroom alcove with a murphy bed. The alcove, with built in bookshelves, is smartly designed so the bed can be folded away during the day or remain open as desired. There is ample closet space on the corridor by the alcove. Completing the apartment is a well-equipped galley kitchen and sea-green tiled bathroom with sink and tub-shower. Toilet facilities are separate. - An appealing apartment in the heart of St-Germain-des-Prés. |
