This substantial house is located in the village of
Limeuil (house just off the left of the photo),
at the confluence of the Dordogne and Vézère rivers. The front terrace has a picturesque view over the water and to the two bridges that span the rivers. The house has a rustic feel, furnished with many antique pieces and rugs.
The courtyard entrance leads to a French country kitchen with old stone floors. The kitchen opens to the formal dining room with table for 8 people and an old china chest. The living room, with painted beamed ceiling and wood floors, has comfortable seating, a large wood armoire and a door opening to the front terrace. Also on this level is a small single bedroom, a laundry room and a separate WC. Upstairs, off a large landing, is the master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. There are 2 more bedrooms and an interconnecting bedroom with a single bed, as well as a second bathroom and WC. In back of the house is the swimming pool set in park-like gardens with large shade trees, shrubs and lawn. A village house with great atmosphere in a central location. |
