Located in the village of Daglan, this house is one of the most charming we've seen and just steps away from all basic shops and services. The house is over 200 years old and has been in the owner's family for generations. It has an array of traditional Perigourdine architectural features including both heavy wood beamed and stone vaulted ceilings, terra cotta tile floors and exposed stone walls. In addition, it is furnished with many antique pieces.

From the street, to the right of the entry is fully-equipped kitchen. Also off the entry is a door to a sitting-dining room with immense character and charm. There are stone vaulted ceilings and walls. The sitting area has two small sofas and two easy chairs. In front of the old stone fireplace is an antique dining table, once the sewing table of the tailor who lived and worked here.

French doors open to a picture-perfect stone walled garden with terrace and a large shade tree. Also on this level is a bathroom. Upstairs is another smaller living-dining area with seating, a small dining table and a galley kitchen. A door from this room leads back to 2 bedrooms and another bathroom. Both of the bedrooms are attractively decorated with colorful curtains and bedspreads. The master bedroom overlooks the garden.

A honey of a house in a historic village.
