Set in the village of Cabrières d'Avignon, this stone house has a lovely graveled courtyard with swimming pool. The garden is enclosed by hedges and features olive, pine and cypress trees and other native plants. An arbored terrace by the house with wrought-iron table and chairs is the perfect place for leisurely outdoor meals. You can walk to local shops including a wonderful bakery, butcher, small grocery, a wine bar and a restaurant.
Inside, the house has been very attractively renovated. Stone and tile floors and immaculate white walls complement casual, contemporary furnishings. Entrance is into the sitting room with two wrought iron sofas with colorful Provençal slipcovers on the cushions and a glass coffee table in front of the fireplace. Adjoining is a den area with television and radio and additional seating. The room is airy and bright with high cathedral beamed ceilings. Adjoining is a dining area with round table for 6 and a closet with wood armoire doors. The efficient kitchen has pretty blue and white ceramic tile counters and is well equipped. Doors from the living room and the kitchen open to the courtyard and terrace. Also on this level is a full bathroom. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms and a mezzanine with twin beds providing extra sleeping space. The mezzanine bedroom overlooks the living room and has a curtain that can be closed for privacy.
