This 19th-century Provençal farmhouse is located near Bonnieux, a charming village perched above the Luberon valley. Set in four-acre grounds, the property boasts stunning views of Mont Ventoux to the north and the surrounding countryside dotted with cherry orchards, lavender fields and vineyards.
The old farmhouse is set in an expansive private park with large lawns, ancient olive trees, stately cypress, tall shade trees, lovely lavender beds, flowering plants and shrubs. You'll enjoy an array of recreational facilities including a cascading swimming pool, all-weather tennis court and boules court. Adjacent to the farmhouse is a large courtyard and arbored dining terraces, complete with wrought-iron dining tables and chairs. In such a thoroughly relaxing setting, you'll have just one problem - summoning the energy to pull yourself away. Inside, the farmhouse has been beautifully renovated with no expense spared. It features the highest quality building materials, fine appliances and ceramic fixtures. Vaulted stone ceilings, exposed stone walls, stone and terra cotta tile floors accent a combination of stylish contemporary and warm antique furnishings, richly-colored fabrics and fine carpets. There are all modern conveniences including high-speed internet access. The house is L-shaped and comprises two wings. Off the entry to the main wing is a lovely living room with vaulted stone ceilings. Here, upholstered sofas and easy chairs are grouped around a wood coffee table by the old stone fireplace. The room is warm and welcoming with large windows, occasional tables and lamps. A stone and wood-beamed arch leads to the French country kitchen, also with vaulted stone ceiling. This is an oasis for the best of cooks with professional gas cook-top, two ovens, all appliances and equipment. Spacious granite counters separate the kitchen from the dining area with a long wooden farm table and chairs for twelve people. There are a total of 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms are in the main wing. Three bedrooms and three more bathrooms are in the garden wing. All of the bedrooms are beautifully decorated and feature lovely bedcovers, curtains, bedside tables, chests and ample wardrobe space. The bathrooms have colorful ceramic tilework, including tiled showers. In the main wing upstairs are two bedrooms: a suite with double bed and full bathroom as well as a bedroom with queen bed and full bathroom adjacent on the hall. A covered terrace leads to the garden wing and three more bedrooms and bathrooms. All of these bedrooms have twin beds convertible to kings. On the garden wing entry level is a bedroom with ensuite shower and sink. Adjacent is a full bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. Upstairs are two more bedrooms, a bathroom with shower and sink, and separate toilet facilities. Also in the garden wing on the entry level there is a kitchenette with additional stove, extra refrigerator, freezer and laundry facilities.
