Set in five-acre grounds, this old Provençal maison de maître is part of a larger domaine with two other accommodations. From June though September, all three accommodations are rented as an ensemble. At other times of the year, the main house, accommodating 8-10 people, can be rented on its own. Near Cavaillon, renowned for its melons and produce, the location couldn't be more central, the ideal departure point for day trips throughout Provence.

The property features a beautiful landscaped park with a variety of shrubs, tall trees, lawn and natural garden, as well as a lovely swimming pool, shared with the other two houses. Adjacent to the house are spacious shade terraces and tall plane trees, the ideal setting for leisurely outdoor meals.

The renovation of the entire stone farmhouse complex has been accomplished with the utmost taste and attention to Provençal style and flair. Heavy wood beamed ceilings, antique terra cotta tile floors, old stone fireplaces, colorful ceramic tile, travertine marble tile and pastel walls complement a combination of quality contemporary furnishings, antique pieces, new appliances and every modern convenience including high-speed internet access and air conditioning in the bedrooms.

Entry is into the living-dining room of over 800 square feet, with polished cement floor, traditional ceiling with plaster and heavy wood beams, wood burning stove and yellow walls. Seating is plentiful with red upholstered sofas and easy chairs accented by antique pine chests. Opposite the sitting area, a long wood dining table is amply proportioned for groups of all sizes.

Off the entry to the right is the spacious French country kitchen, truly a chef's paradise, equipped with 6-burner Lacanche range with two ovens, two refrigerators and extensive preparation space. It is light and bright with a vaulted window as well as French doors opening to the outdoor dining terraces. And with its wood dining table and chairs, it's also a convivial spot for informal meals. Also off the kitchen are toilet facilities.

A stone staircase with graceful wrought-iron railing leads up to 4 bedrooms and bathrooms. Two are queen suites with full bathrooms with both shower and tub as well as toilet. The queen suites also feature a wrought-iron spiral staircase leading up to a mezzanine. On one of the mezzanines is a sofa bed, and on the other is a double bed.

The other two bedrooms are twin suites including a bathroom with shower and sink and twin beds (convertible to kings) on a loft above. Toilet facilities are nearby on the hall. All the bedrooms feature sisal flooring, quality bedding, pretty bedcovers and curtains and are air conditioned. The bathrooms are all beautifully appointed with travertine marble or colorful ceramic tile and the finest fixtures.

A home of quality and style in the best Provençal tradition.

**Note: this property adjoins the Bergerie du Luberon (AH85), accommodating 6 people, and the Mazet du Luberon (AH86), for 4 people.

"We loved the property and it was perfect for our large group. We would be happy to recommend it to future clients."
