The Marais is one of the most celebrated districts of Paris. Just two blocks away is the historic Place des Vosges, not to mention the Musée Picasso and the Musée Carnavalet, among the city’s most unique and interesting small museums. Out your door is Bofinger, a celebrated Alsatian-style brasserie. And the bustling neighborhood on the rue St-Antoine – with its markets, specialty shops, cafés and restaurants – is also just steps away.
Located in a 17th-century building, this one-bedroom apartment is spacious by Paris standards. It has been completely remodeled and decorated to high standards with taste and comfort in mind. The apartment features dark wood beamed ceilings, marble floors, pastel walls, a combination of antique and modern furnishings, many original works of art and all conveniences. To the right of the entry is the spacious living-dining room with decorative fireplace and large windows overlooking a lovely landscaped courtyard with trees and flowers. At one end is a sitting area with red upholstered sofa and two small tables. By the fireplace is another sitting area with two rattan easy chairs decorated with comfortable cushions. Between the two sitting areas is a large black leather ottoman which can serve as a coffee table or provide extra seating. Adjacent is the dining area with round glass-topped table and chairs for 4 people. A counter separates the living-dining room from the fully-equipped galley kitchen with granite counters, antique yellow cabinets and all appliances. The kitchen can also be accessed from the entry hall. To the left of the entry are the bedroom and bathroom. The bedroom features a king bed and beautiful antique armoires, one of which houses a plasma-screen television. The bedroom, overlooking the street, is air conditioned and has two sets of windows to ensure calm and comfort. Adjacent is a marble-tiled bathroom with separate shower and tub, sink and toilet. There are additional toilet facilities on the hallway. The apartment features cable television, high speed internet access and free telephone service to landlines in many countries including the United States and Canada. Calls to landlines within France and to other designated European countries are also free. A well-appointed apartment in a stylish Parisian neighborhood. **Note: The apartment is down the street from our 2-bedroom apartment (AH91) and its studio in the same building (AH92), all on the rue des Tournelles. When available, they can be combined to accommodate groups of 6-8 people. |
