St-Germain-des-Prés is among Paris' most historic and stylish neighborhoods. The celebrated church for which the area is named is just a block away. And the renowned cafés, restaurants, open-air markets and boutiques are all easy walks. On the rue du Dragon, the bakery is just outside your door, and just steps away are the Monoprix supermarket, casual restaurants, excellent food shops and designer goods.
Our apartment is set in a centuries-old building on the 1st floor (see note below) with stair access. Retaining its historic charm, it features wood-beamed ceilings and polished hardwood floors complementing gracious furnishings and all appliances. It also has all modern conveniences including cable television, high speed internet access and free telephone service to landlines in a variety of countries including the United States, Canada, and Australia. Calls to landlines within France and to other designated European countries are also free. To the left of the entry is the main living room with sitting and dining areas open-plan to the kitchen. This appealing room overlooks the street. In the sitting area is a burgundy-colored upholstered sofabed and an armchair grouped by a glass-topped coffee table. In a corner by the window is a round glass-topped dining table and chairs for 4 people. Occasional tables, lamps and antique wood pieces are warm accents. A wood counter separates the living area from the compact galley kitchen. It is well-designed and equipped with a four-burner cook top, counter-top oven, microwave oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, dishes, glasses and cutlery. To the right of the entry is the bedroom with window overlooking a landscaped interior courtyard, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The bedroom features a king bed convertible to twins, pretty bedcover, bedside tables, lamps and wood dresser. There is also a large closet with ample wardrobe space. Completing the apartment is an ensuite bathroom with tiled tub with shower and sink with vanity. The toilet facilities are separate on the entry hall. A gracious apartment in a renowned Left Bank neighborhood. |
