St-Germain-des-Prés is one of the most celebrated neighborhoods in Paris. Named for the historic church, the area is full of shops, restaurants and cafés frequented in the 1950s and 60s by the city's intellectual elite. Just steps away are the lively markets of the rue de Seine and rue de Buci, a delight for the eye and the palate And the banks of the Seine and other renowned Left-Bank sights are all within easy walking distance.

Located in the heart of this lively neighborhood, this one-bedroom apartment is set back from the street overlooking a quiet courtyard. It has been well renovated and maintained with quality materials and furnishings. The door to the apartment is on the 4th floor from which there is a flight of stairs to the main living area on the 5th floor.

The apartment features an open-plan living-dining room with a comfortable sofa, (convertible), arm chair, coffee table and dining table for 4 people. The u-shaped kitchen, with marble counters, is fully equipped and well-designed for preparing more elaborate meals. Off the kitchen is a bathroom with marble-tiled shower and counters. The corridor continues to a small office with sofabed for one person.

Off the living room is a bedroom with queen bed and ample closets. Floor-to-ceiling windows in both the main living area and bedroom make it very light and bright. The roof-top setting is further enhanced by lovely flowerpots and colorful flowers just outside.

A wonderful apartment in a very central Paris location. Worth the walk up!
