L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, celebrated for its antique dealers and Sunday open-air market, Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, St-Rémy and all the renowned sights of Provence are within easy driving distance.
The spacious grounds surrounding the house include a natural garden with lawns, a variety of trees and landscaped beds with flowering shrubs and native plants. Set below the house is a swimming pool with stone surround and plenty of lounging furniture. Adjacent to the house is a large terrace with outdoor dining furniture. Whether you're relaxing at the pool or enjoying leisurely al fresco meals, you'll take full advantage of the exceptional country views. Inside, the house has retained centuries-old architectural features including heavy wood beamed ceilings and exposed stone walls. Casual and comfortable, the décor includes a combination of contemporary furnishings, lovely antique tables and chests along with modern conveniences such as high-speed internet access. The traditional farmhouse floor plan features an open living space with sitting and dining areas alongside the kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped and includes stone counters and all appliances. Dominating the room is a graceful stone archway, below which is the original bread oven. In the center of the kitchen is the dining area with old country table, long benches and an antique china chest. Adjacent is the corner sitting area with two comfortable loveseats and two cane chairs grouped around a white coffee table. There are a total of 3 bedrooms, each with ensuite bathroom. The bedrooms are attractively decorated with antique tables, chests, lamps, curtains, pretty bedcovers and lovely linens. The bathrooms feature quality fixtures and tiled showers or tubs. Two of the bedrooms - one with twins convertible to king and one with a queen bed - are upstairs, accessed by an exterior staircase near the front door.
