Set in grounds of over three acres, this 18th-century stone house has been lovingly restored and renovated. Overlooking woods, the grounds include a natural garden with grassy courtyard and lawns, landscaped beds with shrubs and flowers, and to the side of the house a lovely pool with stone terrace. Adjacent to the house is a covered terrace with plenty of outdoor dining furniture.
Inside, the house has retained great character and has been updated to provide all comforts and conveniences. It features wood beamed ceilings, ceramic tile and wood floors and decorative fireplaces. Classic furnishings are accented by many of the owner’s antiques, from wood chests and armoires to engravings, drawings and original works of art. Entry is into an informal sitting area with sofa and armchairs grouped by a wood coffee table near the old stone fireplace. Two stairs lead to the dining room with rectangular wood table and chairs and windows on the pool. A door opens to the fully-equipped kitchen with dark wood cabinets and tan tile counters. From here, a short corridor leads to a second sitting room with old stone fireplace. Comfortable seating includes two upholstered sofas, antique tables and chests. The main house has a total of 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. They are all on the second floor. One is up a staircase in the back of the house and has twin beds with an ensuite bathroom. All of the bedrooms are furnished with antique chests or armoires, lovely bedcovers and curtains. The third bathroom is on the entry level with easy access from the outdoor dining terrace and pool.
