This centuries-old house is located in the upper part of the medieval village of Limeuil, classified as one of France’s Plus Beaux Villages. The village is set at the confluence of the Dordogne and Vézère rivers, a scenic spot for river swimming or enjoying an afternoon aperitif at the riverside café.

Set on three levels on a hillside, the house includes a sweet stone terrace and natural garden with flowering plants and shrubs on the lower level. It is well renovated with wood floors and exposed stone accent walls. Comfortable contemporary furnishings highlight antique wood pieces.

Entry from the street level is into the dining room with white wood table and chairs for 4 people. An antique clock and wood occasional tables complement the room. A low-wall partition separates the dining room from the galley kitchen with a stone vaulted window on the narrow village street.

A door from the dining room leads to the sitting room with tan upholstered sofa and two armchairs grouped around a low ottoman Both the sitting and dining rooms have windows on country views.

There are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. One of the bedrooms is downstairs along with the bathroom with shower and sink. Stairs from the sitting room lead to the second bedroom. Toilet facilities are separate on the main living level.

A great home base in the heart of a Perigourdine village.
