Set in the countryside close to St-Cyprien, this sweet vine-covered house has been built in fine Perigourdine tradition with tan stucco facade, brown shutters and red tile roof. The grounds are enclosed by hedges and include a pretty swimming pool with a wood deck accented by shrubs and flowers. By the pool and adjacent to the house is a stone terrace with outdoor dining table and chairs.
Inside, the home features wood and beamed ceilings and ceramic tile floors. It is light and bright with many windows and largely contemporary decor with colorful accents. On the ground level, all of the rooms are accessed from the entry hall. To the right of the entry is an attractive sitting room with a period-style sofa and two armchairs grouped around a coffee table in front of the fireplace. Opposite the sitting room, to the left of the entry is the dining room with rectangular wood table and chairs for 6 people. Yellow walls, a wood chest and pine cabinets accent this warm room. French doors open from both the dining and sitting rooms to the dining terrace and to the pool. On the right past the sitting room is the well-designed and fully-equipped kitchen. It is light and colorful with a blue accent wall, wood counters, sea green cabinets, white tile splash and a white café table and two chairs. Also on this level is the bathroom with pale blue walls and white tilework with painted tile trim. Stairs from the entry lead to a landing and 2 bedrooms. One with double bed is on a mezzanine open to the sitting room below. The other is smaller with twin beds and is best suited for children. Both are carpeted and decorated with pretty bedcovers and curtains. An excellent value for a smaller home with pool, and a short drive to a lively little village. |
