Located in a quiet hamlet near the village of St-Alvere, this old stone house with red shutters overlooks beautiful rolling hills and countryside. The grounds include a natural garden with lawn and shrubs. Set just below is a lovely pool with landscaped flower beds, the perfect spot to fully enjoy the country views.
Inside, the house has been very well renovated retaining traditional architectural design including dark wood beamed ceilings, wood floors and exposed stone walls. The decor features a combination of modern furnishings and antique pieces. Entry is into the spacious French country kitchen. This is an inviting room with an old stone fireplace, beamed ceilings and terra cotta tile floor. It is fully-equipped with all appliances and conveniences including a professional-level gas stove and an antique table which serves as an island providing plenty of preparation space. There is also a rectangular wood dining table for 8 people. A door from the kitchen leads to the large living room with two comfortable sofas grouped around an antique wood coffee table in front of the fireplace. Antique armoires, tables and Asian-style carpets are warm accents. French doors from both the living room and kitchen open to the grounds. Also on this level is a game room. There are a total of 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The bedrooms are all upstairs, two each on opposite sides of the house. One has a queen bed, the other has twins. They are all pleasantly decorated and have wood-beamed ceilings. Access is via stairs from the kitchen and another flight of stairs from the living room. On the kitchen side, there are separate toilet facilities serving both rooms and a bathroom ensuite with the queen bedded room. On the living-room side, there is a bathroom ensuite with the queen room and another bathroom on the hall for the twin room. Toilet facilities are separate and serve both rooms.
